In this post, we want to share with you our Roadmap for 2025.
A big part of it is our Class Balancing for which we have some exciting News to share!
We have a Date!
As revealed in our Teaser last week, it will be on the 13.04.25!
On that day we will release a big Foundation Patch on the Live Server. The Patchnotes are already 5.000 words long and still growing!
We mentioned on several occasions that we cant split the balancing into smaller parts, like class by class, to release it faster. This still holds true for one mayor part: The fundamental changes to the Game itself. They have been so drastic, that each and every class (and almost all skills) had to be checked and adjusted.
Those fundamental changes are the basis of the Foundation Patch we are about to release.
The Foundation Patch of the Balancing
On Release Day we will patch the Server with the following:
- Each and every class is now on a comparable level of Power. They all have different roles they excelle at, like being a Tank, DD, Healer etc.
- Monster Defenses are reworked, tankier mobs are finally possible!
- All AoE Skills are adjusted to a new standard. You will deal the full Damage to up to 8 Mobs at a time, starting to go down with the 9th onwards. The total damage stays the same however. AFK DP enabling Skills like the Ethereal Pixies are no longer able to clear a whole Sky room by themself.
- Active Partyplay is more rewarding than ever! Damage increasing Debuffs are now universal. You can think of them as mini-Lunachips. No matter what class joins your Party, they will all contribute and benefit from the full potential of your groups power. A well organised group will always beat solo killspeed.
- DoTs were adjusted massively. Big DoT Skills now deal Hit-Based Damage which is affected by defenses. Smaller "oldschool" DoTs are reduced alongside Monsters max HP.
- Several classes had their Stats changed a lot. They might look reduced compared to now but we can assure you, they pack more than a big punch. Its not how big your stats are, its how you use them ;)
- A rework of the Fortress of Sorrows Dungeon and the process of making Infernal Gears
- An adjusted EXP Curve and a level 240 Reward (finally)
- And many many smaller things

Our commitment for the future
You had to wait several years by now for us to release anything balance related. It will never ever be this long again.
Starting with this Patch, we will do weekly adjustments whenever and wherever they are needed!
No more long waits, no more delays. With the Foundation Patch now released, we can do what was suggested so often: Release changes in smaller steps.
And about those changes:
While working on the balance we found that the most important (and fun) aspect was to discuss ideas. To talk about ways to solve a lack of Power or adjust a busted mechanic fairly. So we want to expand on this concept.
While we still have tons of changes planned ourself, we want to hear from you, our Players.
We will establish dedicated Channels on our Discord for each class. PvE and PvP. Anybody can participate in the discussions. And those interested to test ideas out themselfs, we want to invite on our Testserver (the available spots are limited for technical reasons).
While a Foundation Patch maybe sounds small, it greatly changes how many classes feel to play. The changes by itself are so big, that we want to get new Ideas to adjust to them.
Full disclosure and full transparency
So, is this all we wanted to get done? No.
Is this a fully finished balancing? Also no.
But what it is, is a new foundation for the Gambit Server. With this Patch released, we have established all the basics needed for more finer adjustments. We would have loved to get more done but than it would have been at least 3-6 more months. So instead we focused on the most important things. Get it done that all classes are in a good spot and playable in every content of the Game. And now we adjust on the move, together with all of you, on a weekly basis.
There will be bigger updates still made by us of course. Some planned class changes didn't make it into the Foundation patch in time. We'll be rolling these out over the next few weeks. One example is the Corruptor's "Corpse" skills, which we plan to give new life.
We have a new Dungeon and new Gears already finished. Once the Foundation Patch has landed and everyone had time to adjust, we will release it. It will be the most challenging content yet. And yes, there will be teasers soon.
In a second bigger update we have new Talentpoints in the work for each class. Skills and mechanics not yet seen on Gambit and some will change a classes playstyle completely when chosen.
